Welcome to our newest members of the TPH Team. Tina and Emily Zegietowski as well as Amanda Bell joined us in December and Stacey and Ally Jones joined us in January. Looking forward to another successful show season with all of our talented horses
Congratulations to Teresa and Teddy Wynn owners of Im Gunna Shine ridden by Jason and winner of all levels of the Volunteer’s Breeders Cup Derby and the Smokey Mountain Reins Derby. Jason marked a 149 on “Tuff”. Also congratulations to Marilyn Hamilton and Genuine N Tag ridden by Jason Torpey in the Smokey Mountain Reins Futurity this weekend. Tag was the Reserve Champion in all levels of the Open Futurity classes.
Affiliate Regional were held in Springfield Ohio the weekend of 12 September. Congratulations to Cindy Torpey and TW as well as Ally Jones qualifying for the Finals held in Oklahoma City, OK this year at the Futurity. We want to welcome our newest clients and horses to TPH. Keilan Kendall and her horse Princess joined us on September 9th, Kathy Martin and her horse Blitz joined us at the end of August and Mike Klemp’s horse Mr. Moth Money came back on September 13th. Welcome to all! Hope to see everyone at the TNRHA Murfreesboro show next weekend. We are looking forward to it as it is always a great show!

Jason held a two day youth clinic in Franklin, KY hosted by our dear friend Stacey Jones at J Bar E Ranch. What a great time for all that attended. We will have to do that again!
Our first show in July was the Illinois State Fair Reining in Springfield Illinois. Two of our teenage riders, Grace Zeller and Katie Watson had a great time riding their horses and Katie’s mother hosted a great lakeside dinner for the TPH clan at their beautiful home.
At the Clayton Woolsey in Lexington, Kentucky we had quite a few of the TPH group join us. Our 3 year olds got to make their debut and Layla Choate on Ruf Cut Hickory, aka “Zane” got off to a great start winning Non-Pro levels 2, 3, and 4. This was Layla’s first show after graduating from the University of South Carolina and what a great start!
June brought a new challenge to the TPH team – 2 shows the same weekend. Michelle took the TPH team to Harriman while Jason and Teddy Wynn headed north to the Minnesota Pink Slid’in. In Harriman Beth Milliner and Nights in Reno (Reno) enjoyed a 3rd place finish TNRHA Green 1 Class. In Minnesota, Jason and Teddy’s 2 talented horses, Sparky and Tuf had a great time winning nearly $7k in earnings.
Off to another great show with TNRHA in Murfreesboro! Jason and Sparky won the Open Class and Cindy and TW were 2nd in Prime Time Non-Pro. Jason was asked to be a clinician at the Rookie Day Clinic hosted by Darling 888 Ranch. What an amazing opportunity for our Rookie Riders!
What a great time we had at the Kentucky show in Frankfort. Jason won a 1st on Sam and Alicia Knowle’s horse Gunnajacyaup (Jackie) in the Justin Ricke Memorial Open Class. Sparky and Jason won the Open Class and Jason won 1st in Novice Horse Open L1 and L2 on Tammy Miller, and her daughter Katie Watson’s Arc Custom Snapper (Snap).

Gordyville was a great success for Jason and 2 of Teddy and Teresa Wynn’s horses, Guns a Shinin (Sparky) and Im Gonna Shine (Tuf) winning nearly $3.5k The month ended on a high note at the TNRHA show in Harriman. Jason and Sparky won the Open Class, Jason won the Novice Horse Open L1 and 2 on Dee. Blair McFarlin won 2nd on Spook and Spin (Ella) in the Youth 14-18 and Cindy Torpey and TW won the Prime Time and tied to win the Limited Non-Pro.
What a great way to start off the show season – Florida Reining Classic in beautiful, sunny Tampa Florida. Jason was second on Delightning Express (Dee) in the Novice Horse Open L1 and L2. So many opportunities to show and plenty of riding areas to practice. This show is definitely our clients’ favorite and we look forward to next year.
